After 12-year-old trophy hunter Aryanna Gourdin posted a picture of herself with a giraffe that she killed, “Good Morning Britain” host Piers Morgan thought he had a very witty thing to say.
“How would you feel if I came to your house one day, and I hunted down your pet cat, and I killed it and I then posted pictures of me celebrating the slaughter of your pet cat?” he asked the teen. Gourdin had pictures of her pet cat on Facebook, which Morgan called “weird situation.”
The teen’s father stepped in, telling Morgan that the question was unfair considering the giraffe was not the anchor’s pet. As Morgan continued to ask the same question, the father said that the suggestion was “derogatory” as Gourdin would not ever kill a pet.
Despite the host’s line of questioning, Gourdin said that she enjoyed the taste of the meat that they killed. Gourdin and her father donated some of their kills to locals as well.
The Utah father and daughter wore “Stand Up To Anti-Hunter Bullying” shirts on air.
